a new shopping experience

it was my very first time to go shopping in divisoria.we decided to check out 168 (building which houses many stores inside), since we have heard of many things about the place.many say that there are beautiful wardrobe apparel to see in affordable prices.so we went there.

at first, i didn't expect that 168 would be like that.we went in and many mini-stores came into view, selling different items, from clothes to shoes, jewelries to bags, and a lot more.i had a list in mind of stuff that i would be glad to buy if i find them in 168 acceptable to my tastes. so we roamed around the place, trying out some clothes, slipping into different shoes and going back ang forth, picking what has a reasonable price and fits us the most.

when we were hungry, we chose to stop to eat lunch, which was already passed twelve and went for a tour around the shops a little more.finally, we decided to leave the place. i had bought a short, leggings, two tops, a pair of doll shoes and an overall top. i am contented.

but then again, it's not yet time to go home.when we went out, it was drizzling and my mother had to buy something yet.so we walked on the muddy street crowded with a lot of people, finding that shop selling baby stuff. and at last, after hoursd of shopping, we let our weary bodies, especially feet came to rest, as we rode on a jeepney taking us to our next destination, nearer home. i was sleepy all throughout the travel and my head was falling down involuntary, hitting the shoulder of the person next to me in the jeepney.so embarassing.

an hour later, we were back home.we tried out the clothes and shoes we bought and was happy for the good results of our tiring shopping experience.

hope to come back there again one day.save money first for me, since almost all my money was spent.hahaha.

christmas in tagaytay

(tagaytay scenery)
well, it wasn't planned but then again, the trip to tagaytay was pushed through..
my dad, mom, me, my brother, half-brother and his family, ate ning and camille (neighbor).well, the trip to tagaytay was okay. a little drizzle on thw way and as we went nearer our destination, coldness swept over us. we had to turn off the aircon and the bad thing is, we didn't bring any jackets with us.and i was wearing shorts!! hahahaha.

in tagaytay, we parked on the large lawn reserved for horseback riding, and started having our picnic.yeah, picnic without spoon and fork.lol.so my sister-in-law had to buy somewhere. later on, we went down, strolling around the picnic grove. we took pictures and laughed on the way..

we just strolled for an hour and then we went home afterwards. my dad got an appointment to make in the evening so we didn't stay long. =)

but at least, we had fun!!..

christmas parrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrty!

i super duper enjoyed our organization's christmas party last night.i looooooooooooooove every moment of it. (",) the event started with a dinner, courtesy of our sis nina who catered the food.the dinner was uberly delicious! rice, rosemary pork (i didn't eat since it's not allowed in our religion), beef teriyaki, chicken strips and carbonara.i was so full, plus dessert which is a fruit salad. then the games proceeded after, with the genwel committee winning the 'chubby bunny' game, wherein the one who can speak the phrase with stuffed marshmallows in his/her mouth wins! next, sisses won against brod in the charades games and it was ecstatic...

exchange gifts took place after, and i received a lot of gifts.haha =) the gift when i opened it was filled with two books and three wrapped gifts more! i had a set of headbands-to use for the next year.hahahahaha.love it.really.

well, the night went on and on, with fun and laughter.even the brods threw the sisses into the pool.it was not in the plan, we didn't expect to happen.i was wet throughout the night till dawn.tsk.tsk.but we enjoyed singing in the videoke.getting wilder, noisier and wackier..

it was really an eventful night.a party i would NEVER forget.

merry christmas everyone!!!

an evening with two girls

i had fun with edz and mhie.we just came from dinner and now, we're all in this computer shop.
actually, they fetched me from my apartment and we endlessly took pictures in the seapark.we admired the beautiful christmas lights and lanterns, plus the wooden carved belen (manger scene of the birth of Jesus Christ).

anyway, we also watched the parolan, a parade of creatively made lanterns by different groups/organization in the vicinity.but, we left early to have our dinner in elbi square.along the way, we again took pictures in different poses-while walking, behind the coconut trees, along the street.and even during our dinner, we never grew tired of smiling for the camera.hehe.

i enjoyed the night.i am so happy that i spent it with these two girls, who are special to me.

edz and mhie, love you girls!!!

a very special friend

first and foremost, edz is a woman.secondly, we're not lovers or anything.just to make everything clear.

edilyn guamos is my blocmate, since in our university, when we were freshmen, we were designated into groups, and i was put in a group with edz, as we fondly called her. she's a funny person, now taking bs biology (like me), but major in microbiology.she's nice, sweet and open-minded.i really love her company even when we were still first year.

for the past two years, we weren't that close, but whenever our block will have dinner, we got together as two good friends, along with our other blocmates. but, it was last semester, when we became classmates that we started to get a little closer than before. since we were groupmates, we tend to spend time more compared to when we were just blocmates. and now, we always send text messages to one another. friends even joked that we acted like lovers. hahahaha.

there's this special fact about us. we have the same birthday dates, but she is older than me (just one year, hahaha).i really love the fact that we can act as sisters, since aside from having the same birthday, we are good friends! i hope, best of friends!!!nevertheless, i am really grateful God made a way fro us to become closer than ever.

just a while ago, we had our lunch and we really planned it beforehand.it's a good thing that it happened.i gave her a gift, one i bought last sunday.and she really liked it.a simple token of love and gratitude for the friendship she shared with me.we even shared viands and dessert.talk about being sweet! ^_^

and this evening, i was texting her that i was so hungry, but i got no chance to buy food since i was in our tambayan, and we were about to have our execoun meeting.then, my orgmate asked me to join her buy food in raymundo.so i left my phone to another orgmate, and came back later.my brod (one i left with the phone) said there were missed calls and textmessages so i checked. it was edz, and then i heard someone called me! it was edz, in person! she was patiently waiting for me, because she bought me food!!!!oh my, i didnt know since i didn't bring my phone with me.i was really surprised.but i already bought some food, so i shared the food from edz with the other orgmates, and kept some for myself.i really, really appreciate what edz did for me.

see, she is really one genuine friend.and i am really looking forward to our night together tomorrow evening with another close friend.

it's a blessing to have a friend like edz.not just a friend, a very special friend, whom i won't trade for something else.except maybe house and lot??? heheh, just kidding.

good tidings we bring...

we had our organization's carolling a while ago in sacay village.and, omg, the houses were so big, with tall gates, colorful christmas lights/decors, and reaching almost three floors (most). it felt like we were window shopping houses and lot inside the village.

nevertheless, we continued our activity and went from one house to another, singing the songs christmas in our hearts, jingle bell rock, tuloy n tuloy pa rin ang pasko and winter wonderland. it was tiring but exhilirating as well. there was this middle-aged woman who even sang and danced with us, before reaching out the money in the envelope. it was fun!

there was also this child who even requested us to sing one more time, and dance in the doorstep of their house. all the people there are obviously rich. but even so, their hearts were open to give us something from their pockets.

christmas is all about sharing.whether we have too much of everything or nothing at all.it's a nice feeling if you can share something to someone, not just this Christmas but throughout the year.

let's bring good tidings to everyone.let's light up their faces with our kindness, that we may really feel the true essence of the birth of Jesus Christ.

in the bus

i just arrived in elbi, and i traveled from our place by bus. and i had an interesting travel sitting in the backseat of the bus.

it was a good thing that i follow some guys who came running toward one bus in the middle of the road.having poor eyesight, i didn't managed to read immediately the signboard of the vehicle.luckily, i still managed to get a seat, in the very back.

then, a father and son came, and since there were no seats available anymore, they had no choice but to stand up.i let the boy sat beside me, even letting him sleep in my back, and the conductor even thought i was traveling with him. i did it because i don't want him having a hard time standing up for the rest of the travel. he was just a boy!

aside from the boy, i encountered two loud passengers, both students in the college i was enrolled in. half of the travel, they were SINGING OUT LOUD.yea, i know they have freedom, but they should have been a little sensitive of their surrounding. the passenger beside them is a middle-aged woman who can't even sleep for a minute because of their noise. i didn't even know if they're gays or straight.(no idea!)

there was also this woman who was hot-headed, she was calling someone on her phone, demanding some answers from the text message she just received. she caught my attention because she was speaking too loud~loud enough for passengers in the bus to hear the conversation she was in.

there was traffic, causing a little delay in our travel.and it was getting hot in the bus.good thing the sky gave a little shower to cool the evening air. and, i hope to cool the head of the pasengers anxious to get to their respective destinations.

in every travel we are situated in, every vehicle we ride in, we are put into situations where we can either be friendly enough or a pain in the ass to the people we are with. it's a matter of choice if you'll gladly share your seat or kind enough to offer a smile to a weary old man. but the bottom line is, whatever you opt to do, you inflict change. whether you made a stranger smile or made someone's travel a little better. or lose the chance to gain a new friend.

life's like a bus.you meet and greet new people.you go to different places, be in different situations.though it can be a bumpy ride or a smooth one..i hope you get to your destination, with a satisfied smile. (",)

sleepy

i just slept for the rest of the afternoon, and woke up, almost six in the evening.talk about being sleepy!normally i should be in the church, but no, i didn't manage to finish the service and went straight home ahead instead.last night, our organization had its final, for the applicants' traditional process before acceptance and we haven't got a regular sleep all evening till early dawn.i didn't even get to sleep long the other night too, and was awake the whole day before the said event.that explains the exhaustion.and i got a slight hoarse voice.tsk.

well, it's almost midnight here, got to rest.i just finished reading the coverage of our exam this monday.(sigh)

night.

bringing home a chicken skeleton

since i am taking ornithology~of course, the study of birds, i am actually bringing home a skeleton-whole skeleton of a chicken!yes, i am actually required to know all the bones that make up the bird's framework.talk about a lot of bones!!!!good thing, birds have fewer bones in their bodies, the reason why they can fly!!! that's why, it's less work to memorize.hahahaha :)

and for now, i am going home. :)
with the bird (hope it won't come alive then fly away with me)

@_@

lunch with my batchmates :)

i enjoyed my lunch, thanks to the company of my batchmates..we had our lunch in cel's canteen, located in searca.it's not often when my batchmates get together and talk of our lives. (aww!)

i'm getting nervous for my anatomy laboratory exam.i hope i can make it through.

Yeah! Cmowwwnnn Noah! - franz

that's my friend, my classmate who is about to take the same exam as me, an hour later.i really hope we can remember the parts as we have observed and studied under the microscope.i really hope i can manage not to be pressured, as our move-system examination is timed.

well, i'm quite relaxing a bit now, trying to calm my nerves.and then, gotta review once again.
good luck for me!
p.s. that image is the anterior part of Amphioxus, a specie under Subphylum Cephalochordata. That's only one of the many slides which is part of the exam.. :)

new look for the yuletide season

my friend and i was desperate for a new hairstyle, as chrsitmas is nearing.so we decided last saturday, to make it come true.and since we wanted to be postitively sure of what we're about to do with our hair, we searched the net for possible hairstyles that will surely look good in us.but, we didn't make it to the salon, since we surfed too long, so we opted to go to our neighbor's house, looking for ate judy, known to be well adept in haircutting and hairstyling.she wasn't yet at home.we tried to send her a message, that if it's possible for her to cut our hair when she arrived.
near eleven in the evening, i went home, after hours of staying in my friend's house.we thought that there's lest chance of having our hair cut.minutes later, when i'm already home, ate judy knocked at our door, asking for us.so, my friend and i went to her sister's house (our neighbor) and let her do her magic on our hair.
near midnight, we have our new hair!it's our new look for the season...
the good part is, ate judy is so great, we're not sorry for letting her cut our awaiting hair.

distance from home

i am acutely aware that there will come a time when i have to leave home to study in another place.even if it's just two hours travel, it's still different compared to a walking distance from home.ever since i began to study, it was in a school, a privae non-sectarian, consistently from preschool to highschool.so it's a big change when i moved from home to stay in a dormitory when i entered college.

being a freshman offered lots of changes in my life.i don't have to wear uniform nor be in he same classroom for the whole day. i have to adjust living with complete strangers, but luckily, are friendly enough to accomodate me. since, there's no chance to cook food (which i am not yet capable at that time), i normally eat in a canteen within the dormitory grounds. i miss my mother's own cooking and have to manage my own money, trying to learn how to budget the allowance provided for the week.also, i'm not yet good in traveling, since i have lived to travel with my parents or just stay at home.so i rarely go home, and my parents were usual visitors of the dormitory i was staying in, during sundays. it was a year full of first times and mega changes in my homebound lifestyle.

sophomore started with me, now part of an academic organization. i experienced my first college sportsfest, where i really lost some damn weight due to weekly activities and tiring games, such as basketball and volleyball. also, i experienced failing one subject and taking it once again. goods thing, i passed the second time around. i was already used to traveling, and can even stay in the near-campus apartment for the weekends, and not come home.i can even travel late at night, but opt to no usually do it. in the apartment, i stayed with three other girls, and started having late night dinner with my housemates, or find guys staying with us!maybe, due to insestent distraction and less privacy, i decided to move out, and find another place.

now, i'm in my junior year, i am staying alone in this up-and-down apartment unit, almost like a real home. i has almost complete stuff for me to survive alone.i learned how to cook rice, fry hotdogs, cook eggs and other stuff.i'm yet to learn how to cook more advanced viands, such as adobo. curry and paksiw, my favorite!i'm getting used to balance my hectic time and still appreciate bonding moments with friends. i also learned how to pay in banks for my apartment rent, plus water and electricity bills!i get o have my own atm account and manage money, my own way.

though i am a distance from home, i never get to be far away from my family. i learned how to be closer to them instead. and, i learn how to be less dependent in many aspects of my life. this is a step higher to gain independence and maturity in life. for me,our home will be there waiting for me to come back, wherever i go. :)
